IN THE PITS LANE, WEDNESFIELD V HORSPATH

2011-06-30 11:02 by Roger Ellis

After a very close match with Leicester it was the turn of the champions Horspath at Ashmore park not letting our heads drop we were up for it, Heat 1,+ 2, were drawn heats,Heat 3, saw horspath go into the lead with good team riding by the hammers from Matusz Szymczak +mark Boalar 7-3 to Horspath 13-17, Heat 4,we struck back with a 6-4 from C,J + Ben Higham Horspath came right back at us with a 6-4 from Paul Heard + Mark Carmichael over a second place from Matty Beharrell and a ever trying Dylan Radcliffe scores 23-27 Heat 6,a good win by Griff with Luke Draisey trying to find is way past the Horspath pairing of Chris Timms + Lewis Osbourne,Heat 7, again Boalar Szymczak pair getting the best of the Aces in the first bend over C J,+ Dylan taking another 7-3 to the hammers 31-39
Heat 8, Aces gain a 6-4 from Aris + Norman and a Heat 9 drawn heat scores at the Interval 42-48 to Horspath, after Re-Grouping we stood firm with Matty Beharrell only had one ride in the first half hopefully things would get better with Matt still four rides to come in the match, Heat 10,i spoke to soon, disaster for Matty Beharrell out for for is second ride EX for moving at the tapes leaving Luke Draisey on his own in the re-run a great ride by Luke to split the horspath pair of Lewis Osbourne + Mark Carmichael scores 45-54 to the hammers with Heats 11,+ 12 drawn heats and with a EX to Paul Heard in heat 13 this was our big chance to come back into the match, but again in the re-run Matty found himself on the end of another EX this time on the back Straight with Steve Harris the re-run ending in a 4-3 to the Aces a good win by Griff, Heat 14, a great win by Terry Norman over Mark Boalar + Mark Carmichael + Ben Higham chasing hard at the back of the pack 64-72 to the hammers, Heat 15, this time horspaths Steve Harris gets EX for Obstructed in the bend over Matty Beharrell again a possible 7-2 on the cards but not to be in the re-run with Matty protesting that there was a Definate noise but no way back Bob Prince sent Matty back to the pits with Lee Aris taking the win from Szymczak scores 68-75, so three heats to go, Heat 16, saw the Aces take a 6-4 from Dylan + Griff so Heat 17 was a big heat for the Aces off outside grids but the horspath pair of Szymczak + timms pulled in a 6-4 for the hammers over C J + Terry Norman, the match was now out of the Aces Reach a heat 18 it just summed up the Aces day two more EX s this time Luke Draisey tapes then the re-run Lee Aris received a EX after a couple of laps holding Harris on the very extremes of the track frustration had set in from the day's events with the Aces getting no points from heat 18 final score line 78-92 to the hammers
score line did not reflect on the match poor form has let us down again at Ashmore Park we pick ourselfs up and carry on with the season
from the pits lane, see you soon, have a good day  Team Manager Roger Ellis.
