Poole turned up at Ashmore Park for this final fixture of the 2009 season with a few of there star riders missing but they put up a spirted fight and were unlucky when Dave Murphy came off and sustained a injury after his chain came off and cart-wheeled him into the side curb and safety fence he took no further action in the match.

Wednesfield pretty much dominated things after the interval with Poole managing only one 6-3 race win in heat 12 from Ben Mould & Jake Williams, there were four more exclusions from match referee Albert Bentley standing in to replace John Whiting they were tapes exclusions for Sam Hearn,Mark Griffiths & Leyton Glover and Sam Smith recieving his second exclusion for cutting across the centre green,

With the Aces winning by a comfortable margin it enabled them to leap frog poole in the final league table vertue of a better points differance.
