There was a good turn out of 51 riders for this first round of the British Youth & Junior League 2009 and the weather was kind with a bright sunny afternoon. The East Park track looked immaculate and everything ran smoothly throughout the afternoon and we also saw a new category introduced just for junior girls, and we saw a new female referee (Michelle Aris) taking control of some of the age events.

We also saw five riders unbeaten in the different age groups, Wednesfield ran out comfortable winners in this first round with a strong showing from the Bretford youngsters, a word of praise must go to all the volunteers that made the event a success without their help these meetings could not be staged.
